BVM (USN) Salutes the Martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh massacre…… « 12/Apr/2019

BVM USN celebrated the festival of Baisakhi with traditional and heritage fervor and gaiety. The colours of Baisakhi and piousness of Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti were reflected in the special morning assembly. Celebrations commenced by seeking blessings of Adi Shakti Maa Durga through a mesmerizing bhajan ‘Jai Jai Maa Sherawali’ by the students of class 6th  to 8th. The significance of the auspiciousness of Baisakhi was highlighted through a poem recited by Tashika (class 7) and a speech delivered by Tisha (class 8). Mrs. Shyama Kaushal (TGT) enlightened the students with the inspirational life of Father of the Indian Constitution Dr. B.R. Ambedkar giving the message that it is not necessary to be born with a silver spoon but what matters is a fixed goal and persistent hard work. Class presentations of class 1 on the theme of Baisakhi & class 2 on the theme of Navratri were held in the auditorium. Tiny tots enjoyed the beats of dhol and dandiya dance setting the stage ablaze. Patriotic fervor was aroused as the students watched the short episode based on the hundredth year of the heinous Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Greeting the students on the special occasion of Navratri and Baisakhi, the Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi motivated the students to guard nation’s independence, integrity and sovereignty and make it a prosperous and progressive nation.
